As the rush of devotees visiting Tirupathi-Thirumalai temple for Darshan of Lord Venkateswara is expected to increase manifold during this summer holiday season, 24-hours bus services is being introduced to manage this extra rush of devotees.
TTD (Thiurmalai Tirupathi Devasthanam) Board official Mr. Sambasiva Rao told the press reporters that with the onset of summer the painting activity of the 4 temple corridor lanes will be taken up.
To facilitate the devotees who undertake the Pradakshan of the 4 temple corridor streets even during the scorching sun, tanker trucks will be utilised to pour water on the 4 corridor streets from 9.00 AM till 5.00 PM.
For the devotees waiting for Darshan in the Vaikuntam complex, cold buttermilk and cold water will be served.
With the shortly approaching summer holidays and the expected heavy rush in the number of devotees visiting Tirupathi, 24-hour bus services will be operated between Tirupathi & Thiurmalai from 15th April till 30th June.
For the devotees with special faster Darshan ticket of Rs. 300/-, quick Darshan buses will be operated between Tirupathi & Thiurmalai.
TTD has banned its staff and officers from taking leave during this period.
Thiurmalai mountain path work will be completed shortly.
TTD has also ordered the officers to take all precautionary actions to prevent spread of forest fire.
