After many innovative methods, the election commission has come up with another plan to get a colour voter ID card. Election Commission has signed a MoU with State Bank of India.
Those desirous of getting a new EPIC can go to www.tnelections.gov.in and apply on form number 001 by paying Rs 25 if they are ready to collect the card at the facilitation centre. Those who want the card to be delivered in their house should pay Rs 67 in total online as Rs 42 is extra for postal and other expenses. The card would be sent through Speed Post and the extra cost of Rs 42 is towards speed post and other incidental expenses.
The system of applying for a new card online comes into effect from March 30.
