If the coolant hose in the engine cooling system malfunctions, there are chances that it may burst and drain the entire coolant outside. So, if you notice that the coolant hose is in bad shape, better change it immediately.

This step will also ensure that the engine does not get overheated.

It is also advisable to keep regular check on the coolant quantity. If it is less, it is better to check for any leakage. If leakage is confirmed, it is better to take the vehicle to the workshop and arrest the leakage immediately. This will ensure the smooth functioning of the cooling system preventing the engine from getting overheated.

It is better to avoid supplementing the coolant system by filling it with water. It is also better to keep engine coolant changed at regular intervals.

It is also advisable to service the radiator also at regular intervals as this plays a crucial role in the cooling system of the engine. This is because any blocking in the radiator will lead to the overheating of the engine.
