As the summer vacations have already started, there is a tremendous rush in the number of devotees visiting Tirupathi temple.
The devotees are braving the scorching sun, wait in the queue and have the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
TTD (Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board) has decided to increase the quota of Rs. 300/- special Darshan Tickets booked online.
Currently, 12000 tickets are booked & sold online. Now, an additional quota of 4000 tickets is included and so, there will be 16000 tickets for Rs. 300/- special Darshan tickets booked online.
These Rs. 300/- special Darshan tickets can be booked right from 60 days earlier up to 3 hours before Darshan.
Due to the summer vacation rush of devotees, Rs. 50/- Darshan tickets sold in the temple are stopped.
TTD has also announced that lodge booking also has been cancelled till 10th June.
The annual traditional 3-day celebration of Vasantha Utsavam is scheduled to commence tomorrow (Tuesday, 19th April).
The deity of the Lord will be taken to Vasantha Mandapam and special poojas will be performed. On the 2nd day of the festival, the deity of the Lord will be taken on a procession in a golden chariot in the temple corridor streets.
