Agni Natchathiram also called as Kathri will begin on 4th May. Last week there was more impact of heat because there was delay of the sea wind blowing from western direction. Vellore recorded 111 degree Fahrenheit.
After this the humid wind start blowing from south and south east directions. This lessened the impact heat. In spite of this, the average heat was recorded up to 100 degrees.
Kathri season is to begin on 4th May. So there will be increase in the intensity of the heat. The impact of heat throughout Tamil Nadu will be between 104 degrees to 106 degrees. the impact of heat will be there till end of May.
An official of Metrological centre has mentioned: For the next few days the intensity of the heat will continue. In most of the districts dry weather will prevail. There could be rains in some districts like Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Kovai, Trichy, Madurai and Ariyalur.
