1253 SC candidates applied for law courses

D Gopal, the Registrar - In Charge of Tamil Nadu Law University told that there are 1253 SC students applied for law studies in the university colleges.
According to Gopal, the university received 2,990 applications from all the category and nearly 50 percent of the applications belongs SC students.
For OC students there are 300 seats available in the University. But only 93 applications reached from the OC candidates. "The remaining seats are given for deserving candidates from the other quota," said the registrar.
Earlier, State Minister for Law, Courts and Prisons, G Senthamizhan, distributed admission cards for the top rankers, based on the cut-off secured by the students on the very first day of the counselling in a simple event held at the campus.
