This year 1,38,234 government quota seats are up for grabs through the single window counselling system, including 7,522 seats in Anna University, 4,506 seats in government and aided colleges and 1,26,156 seats in self-financing engineering colleges in the state.
1,40,020 candidates have been called to take part in the single window counselling system from today. The admission process will last for 35 days.
Ashok Kumar M from Dindigul is the first candidate to get a seat in an engineering college in the state through the single window counselling system on Friday in the general academic category.
Minister for higher education P Palaniappan gave away the allotment order to Ashok Kumar on Friday.
