HDFC to launch new bank branches

HDFC, one of the private banks flourishing in India is likely to open 500 new branches across India during the ongoing financial year. The bank which is in an expansion spree has got plans to widen its sector with new bank branches. Of all the 500 new branches, 60 of them are to be located in small towns and rural areas.
During the previous financial year, 506 new branches were opened of which 256 of them were located in small towns and rural areas. As of March 2016, there were 4520 branches with HDFC. Furthermore, the bank has plans to source Rs 50,000 crore as debentures.
