Thousands of devotees throng the world famous temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirupathi every day.
It is natural that the crowd of devotees is even more during the weekends on Saturdays and Sundays.
However, since the last week, there has been an increasing of devotees visiting Tirupathi. The crowd level is very high even on weekdays.
Devotees need to wait in very long queues up to 2 km length for a long period.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 25th May), 52920 devotees had Darshan of the Lord from morning till evening.
All the 33 compartments in the Vaikuntam Queue Complex were overflowing with the crowd of the waiting devotees.
It takes up to 14 hours of waiting for Dharma Dharisanam. For the devotees undertaking the journey by foot, it takes up to 8 hours.
Long queues are seen even for the devotees offering tonsure of hair. It is extremely difficult to find a lodge/room for staying. Devotees are seen struggling to get temporary accommodations.
As the crowd of devotees swelled, the number of VIP Darshan tickets were reduced.
Yesterday’s (25th May) collection in the temple hundi was Rs. 2.31 Crores.
