Forbes has released the list of the top 2000 companies in the world, under the title, Global 2000.There are 56 Indian companies in this list.

The Reliance Group, headed by Mukesh Ambani is the leading Indian company.

There are 586 US companies in this list of top 2000 companies in the world.

Companies from USA and China occupy the first 10 places. Toyota Motors, a Japanese company, occupies the 10th place.

The Indian Company, Reliance has moved up from 142nd place to 121st place.

The State Bank of India is in the 149th place.

The other Indian companies in this top 2000 include ONGC (220), ICICI (266), HDFC Bank (275), Indian Oil(371), TCS (385), NTPC (400), Bharthi Airtel (453), Coal India (465), Axis Bank (484), L & T (505), Infosys (590), Bharath Petroleum (650), Wipro (755), ITC (781), Kotak Mahindra Bank (899), Tata Steel (1178) and Adanai Enterprises (1993).

The top 3 places are occupied by banks from China. Again, Bank of China occupies the 6th place.

The list contains 249 companies from China (Mainland and Hong Kong), 219 companies from Japan, 92 companies from England, and 67 companies from South Korea.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire hatchway from the USA occupies the 4th place and the is the largest US Company in this list.Apple is in the 8th place.

The other US companies in this list are Bank of America (11), WalMart (15), Microsoft (23), IBM (41), Goldman Sachs (77), Facebook (188), and Amazon (236).
