40 special counters for tax assesses

The Income Tax Department in Chennai will operate 40 special counters for salaried tax assesses from July 28 to 31.
The special counters will be set up at Aayakar Bhawan in Nungambakkam where the tax department has its offices.
There will be 15 separate counters for PAN verification and help desks for tax assesses. One of them will be an exclusive counter for senior citizens and physically challenged people. Forms without PAN will not be accepted. They should also fill up the tax deduction account number (TAN) of the employer.
IT return forms are also available on the tax department’s website www.incometaxindia.gov.in. The list of locally available TRPs is available on the website www.trpscheme.com.
