A recently conducted survey established that women are more content with their salaries as compared to men.
The survey was conducted by Ernst & Young. It was named E Y Rewards 2016.The survey establishes that as far as the salaries are concerned, women are more benefited as compared to men. It is also found that 1 in every 4 employees is dissatisfied with the rewards offered by the employer.
66 percent of the women are found to be content with their salaries.However, only 50 percent of the men are content with their salaries.
Whereas the men focus more on the salary, the women care also for the other benefits apart from the salary.
24 percent of the employees expressed dissatisfaction with their salaries.
20 percent of the employees are unsure about the rewards. 65 percent of the employees are happy with the rewards offered.
It is notable that the extent of contentment has gone down among the employees after the year 2000. However, the extent of contentment among employees in the age group 30-35 has gone up by a small margin.
The extent of contentment of the employees of the age group 34-45 has come down.
The employees have observed that the attributes of take-home pay, the quality of the managers, the reputation of the employer company, and simple/easy procedures are important in creating the right working environment. The employees are also concerned about their career advancement.
This survey was conducted in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. 452 employees working in 128 companies in these cities participated in this survey.
