Tirupparankundram elections to be held with Aravakurichi and Thanjavur constituencies

Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni has mentioned that the elections to Tirupparankundram constituency will be held along with Aravakurichi and Thanjavur constituencies on the same day. Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections were held on 16th May.
EC had cancelled the elections of Aravakurichi and Thanjavur constituencies because of large scale distribution of money and gifts to elector by the candidates and political parties. The elections to both these constituencies are to be held on 13th June.
The death of S.M. Seenivel, who was elected from Tirupparankundram, had been intimated EC. The poll schedule for the constituency is likely along with other two seats.
The revised schedule for these ACs will be recommended by the ECI in due course of time.
