39th book fair from today

The 39th book fair will commence from today at Island grounds. This fair is organized by Book Publishers and Sellers Association of India (BAPASI). There will be 700 stalls and 1 lakhs books are to be displayed for sales. In this, 6 thousand new books are to be released. This book fair was supposed to be conducted during the month of December 2015 but due to heavy floods it was cancelled. Now it is being organized. Last year there were 12 Lakhs visitors. It is expected that there will be more visitors this year.
Those who want to visit the fair should enter the gate 6 (opp. War memorial in Kamarajar Salai). There is only one entrance to the fair. The entry fee is Rs 10 while the parking fees for two wheelers are Rs 10. For four wheelers Rs 40 will be collected towards parking fees.
Timings: During weekdays-2 pm to 9 pm and during weekends-11 am to 9 pm.
There will be 10 percent discount. There fair will take place at Island Grounds from 1 to 13 June
