Who will be the RBI Governor after Raghuram Rajan?

Will Raghuram Rajan continue as Governor of Reserve Bank of India for the second time? We got the answer for this last Saturday. In a letter to the employees of Reserve Bank of India, Raghuram Rajan has mentioned that he is not interested to continue as Governor for the second term. He further mentioned that he would be leaving for America.
Raghuram Rajan’s decision has created various debates. At the same time there is a question that who will be the next governor of RBI. Nine person’s names are being regularly mentioned for this post. They are State Bank of India chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya, Urjit Patel, deputy governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Financial Services Secretary Hashmukh Adhia,Former RBI deputy governor Subir Gokarn, RBI Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan, SEBI Chairman U.K. Sinha and eminent economist and former chief economic advisor Kaushik Basu, Dr. Ashok K. Lahiri Chief Economic Adviser Ministry of Finance & Company Affairs and former finance secretary Vijay Kelkar. One of them will be appointed as Governor of RBI.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said a successor would be announced shortly.
