3008 applications for teacher training courses

There is a sum of 403 teachers training institute with the District Institute of Education and Training. This comprises of government and government-aided training institutes and private self-financed teacher training institutions. Here, they offer a 2-year diploma in teacher training in elementary level. There are over 12,000 vacancies here. These are filled through single window system by counselling.
In the ongoing financial year 2016-17, there are 3008 applications received so far. Works to review these applications are currently on the go. The ranking list will be issued by the end of this week following which online counselling will take place, said Director of District Institute of Education and Training, Mr. V.C. Ramashwar.
