The South Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has made arrangements to conduct a day long counselling program where the public can volunteer to disclose their income range. This program is organized together with the income tax department. The venue of the event is Le Royal Meridian on 7th of July between 11 am and 01.00 pm. It is conducted entirely for free.

This will serve as a stage for discussion where individuals, companies and industrialists can volunteer to disclose their income range and clarify doubts. It will see participation from the chief commissioner and other higher officials of income tax department to clarify all the doubts raised.

Discussion and debates on legal protection and ways to volunteer for announcing income range, etc will take place in the event. The centre has fixed 30th September as the deadline for disclosing unaccounted income. By volunteering to disclose the same, people can escape from stringent action taken on them. Hence, in his report, Chief Pazhani G Periyasami has stated that this event will take place so as to take wise decision on this government scheme, and select appropriate procedures.
