Water inflow increases in Hogenakkal

The water inflow at Hogenakkal has increased.Over the last few days, the inflow was minimal and the rocks in the falls area were becoming visible.
Only the main falls had somewhat good water flow.
Due to recent persistent rains in the Kaveri river water catchment areas in Karnataka state, the water flows via the dams to Hogenakkal, Kaveri river in Dharmapuri district,
On Monday (4th July), the inflow was 2000 cft per sec. This increased on Tuesday (5th July) and now the inflow is 4000 cft per sec, according to the Public Works Department circles.
