Samsung India has announced the launch of two more phones in its Galaxy J smartphone series. Making the announcement on Friday, Samsung said that the phones have been named the Galaxy J2 2016 and the Galaxy J Max. They are priced at Rs. 9,750 and Rs. 13,400 respectively.
The Galaxy J2 2016 is the follow up version of the Galaxy J2 which was launched in 2015. The 2015 version is India’s top selling smartphone at the moment. The new J2 2016 is a part of the company’s 4G enabled smartphones. Samsung’s 4G enabled smartphones portfolio makes for over 60 per cent of the entire 4G market in India.
In an official release, Samsung said, Galaxy J2, 2016 has been re-engineered, re-designed and re-loaded with new Make for India features, such as Turbo Speed Technology , or TST, an innovation which results in superior device performance, and Smart Glow, a next gen colour LED notification system for the convenience of the user.
The release also said, The Galaxy J Max has been designed for those who are looking for a complete entertainment experience on a mobile device. Building on this insight, Galaxy J Max offers a 7-inch WXGA display for an immersive viewing experience, along with 4G VoLTE connectivity for fast downloads and streaming.
Samsung said, Galaxy J2 2016 will be available from July 10, 2016 across all channels, at a price of Rs 9,750, while Galaxy J Max will be available across channels from end July, 2016 and will be priced at Rs 13,400.
