Ration card is compulsory for senior citizen bus passes: Tamil Nadu Government

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is now and then is giving various concessions for the senior citizens of Tamil Nadu. Few months back Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa announced the free bus rides scheme for senior citizens. The details that are required for this scheme are name, age, gender, address and age proof. The age proof can be any ID like Aadhaar card, voters ID, ration card or school certificate.
At this juncture, there are complaints that many are misusing this scheme by getting more passes by showing different identity cards at different places. In view of this, the Government has made ration card mandatory for getting passes.
