The educationists in the country have been pressing the government regarding the need change the existing system of learning/teaching where the students are required to study the lessons by-heart for writing examinations and scoring well, without apparently understanding them.

Taking heed to this, CBSE is now set to introduce a new system.

It is understood that this new learning system will pave the way for the students to give up the method of reading the lessons by-heart and doing the exercise and learn things through practical studies.

The activities of learning, planned under the new system include:
  • Writing letters jointly with their parents
  • Solving puzzles
  • Checking the house income/expenditure details
  • Cooking
  • Reading newspapers
  • Seeing documentaries and videos of historically important incidents
In a recent press release by CBSE on this aspect, that doing the budget study of household income/expenditure with parents can help the students understand mathematics easier and better.

Reading newspapers and watching documentaries and historical incidents can help them understand the prevailing social problems in a better way and also help them to thins and suggest and implement remedial actions. So, the school administration and the parents should follow this new system.
