Engineering counselling got over yesterday. This has ended with more than 1 lakh vacant seats. Following this, the counselling for law studies has begun yesterday. Students are showing immense interest in taking part in the counselling. There are over 6 law colleges functioning in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Thirunelveli and Chengalpet all of which fall under Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. In all these universities, there are 1,052 vacancies studying in the 5 year law studies (BA, LLB). About 5,355 applications are so far received out of which 4,996 applications are eligible ones.
The counselling for filling 1052 vacancies began yesterday, at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. On the very first day of the counselling, 308 students took part. The last date of the counselling is 24th July (day after tomorrow). Minister of law, C.V. Shanmugam initiated the counselling yesterday. He gave out orders for 10 students and wished them all success. The first day of counselling saw participation from Vice Chancellor Professor Vanangamudi, Legal secretary Poovilangam, Director of legal studies Santhoshkumar, Registrar Soundarapandiyan, among others.
