Upgraded WI-FI services launched in Chennai Central

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu launched Upgraded Wi-FI service offering high speed internet  at Chennai Central station on Sunday. Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said: Free WI-FI services are being introduced in 19 stations in Tamil Nadu including Chennai Central and Trichy. It has been decided to launch WI-FI services in 100 stations this year. By 2018, 400 railways stations will be provided with WI-FI services. By December, three more railways stations in Tamil Nadu will be provided with WI-FI services. Until March 31 this year, 35,000 bio-toilets were installed. The target for the current financial year is to provide 30,000 new bio-toilets with 7000 having been fitted already.
