Cleanest stations are in Gujarat State - Kumbakkonam is the cleanest in Tamil Nadu

Recently a survey was conducted by the Ministry of Railways at 407 major railway stations regarding cleanliness in which nearly 1, 30,000 passengers participated.
Among the 10 cleanest stations in the order of ranking are Beas, Gandhidham, Vasco Da Gama, Jamnagar, Kumbakkonam, Surat, Nasik Road, Rajkot, Salem and Ankleshwar. Five stations in Gujarat - Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Surat, Rajkot and Ankleshwar- are among the top 10.
The five dirtiest stations - Madhubani, Bakhtiyarpur, Anugrah,Sagauli and Ara.
