If this happens, the entire cities of Indian country would be so much in heavy population. Jokes apart, This is something we got to hear straight from the desk of Rao Inderjith Singh, Minister of Urban Development in Lok Sabha. In his statement, it has been predicted and affirmed that by 2050, country’s major population around 60 percent would be occupying the cities. Moreover, according to the census report of 2011, it has been confirmed that already around 31 percent of the population has been moved to urban areas.
Adding more during the speech, Rao Inderjith Singh also mentioned that AMRUT – Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation has been getting through the phase of developing the big cities and then followed by transforming small cities into a much substantial city.
