Hyundai Motors India Ltd exports 20 lakhs cars through Chennai Port Trust

Mr Cyril C. George, Chairman, Chennai Port Trust has mentioned that Hyundai Motors India Ltd have exported 20 lakhs cars through Chennai Port Trust during the last 10 years.
Chennai Port Trust, one of the leading Major Ports under the Ministry of Shipping and Hyundai Motors India Ltd. (HMIL), Country’s biggest exporter and second largest car manufacturer, celebrated a decade of partnership between them.
Speaking on this occasion Shri. Cyril C George, Chairman, Chennai Port Trust said: Right from the time Hyundai Motors India Ltd started its operations in Sriperumbudur, the company has been utilizing the services of Chennai Port Trust. The company has been exporting cars from the year 2000. Upto 2006, the company had exported only 3 lakh cars. Then the company entered into partnership with Port Trust to export cars in the year 2006. It’s a landmark occasion for Hyundai Motors India Ltd. (HMIL) as it has completed a decade of partnership with the Chennai Port Trust. At this juncture, Hyundai Motors India Ltd has exported 20 lakh cars to various countries.
