Seven counters to help file IT returns

For those of the persons who come under the income tax bracket, should file the tax returns before 31st July. Accordingly the last date to file the tax returns is 31st July.
Majority of the tax payers have the habit of filing the tax returns during the last minute. Because of this, there will be heavy crowds at the income tax department offices.
Keeping this in mind, Income Tax department opens special counters every year to assist people in filing the income tax for the previous financial year.
Similarly this year, the Income Tax department has set up special counters on Thursday to help salaried assessees, including pensioners, whose income is less than Rs 5 lakh with no refund being claimed, to file their returns.
The counters will be open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm including on Saturdays and Sundays at Aayakar Bhavan Campus at Nungambakkam in Chennai.
