70th Indian Independence Day celebrations at UN

The 70th Independence Day in India is set to be celebrated at the United Nations on 15th August. As a symbol of paying tribute to the late Karnataka singer, M.S. Subulakshmi, A.R. Rahman is set to conduct a concert. Syed Akbarudhin, the Indian ambassador at the United Nations has tweeted about the same. Jai Ho is all set to get played at the United Nations.
 
It is stated that a music concert is to be conducted to celebrate the 70th Independence Day of India where they will pay homage to singer M.S. Subulakshmi. As an indication of this event, a poster containing images of both M.S. Subulakshmi and A.R. Rahman will be pasted at the United Nations.
 
In a stage where leaders across the world and veteran musicians have given out speeches, this concert is A.R. Rahman is set to take place. After M.S. Subulakshmi, the Indian musician to conduct such event at the United Nations is A.R. Rahman. To note, it was in the year 1966 that M.S. Subulakshmi conducted the music event. This year also marks to be the golden jubilee of her last concert.
