Anna University orders students to use Whatsapp only for educational purpose

With the admissions and enrollments of new candidates completed, Anna University will begin the regular classes from Monday. With the faculty members and students on their parts preparing for the new academic year, the Committee of Anna University has now given strict orders that Whatsapp services should be used only for the educational purposes.
With the academic classes all set to begin by Monday, Anna University Dean said that University is preparing at its best for commencing the classes with best facilities. The internet and Whatsapp facilities should be used by students only for the purpose of educational usage and nothing else. He also added that there is no ban on mobile usage inside the campus, but should be switched off during the class hours.
In order to prevent and curb down the rate of ragging, the University has kick-started the Anti-Ragging mobile vehicles that would be on rounds for regular check on and special faculty members will be checking the places like canteen and other places for the curbing down acts.
The university has obtained signatures from parents that their respective children shouldn’t be involved in ragging under the condition that the ones involved in the ragging would be fined Rs. 2Lac along with imprisonment. Additionally, the criminals involved in ragging would be getting admitted in any college and such strong actions would be taken on this regard.
