Metro rail service between Chinnamalai and Airport likely to begin

Final works to complete metro rail services between Chinnamalai and Chennai Airport are now over. The last safety test for this route took place last week. Protection commissioner gave his nod to begin metro services in this route. In this regard, metro railway officials stated that necessary works to lay metro rail route along the 9 km length between Chinnamalai and Chennai Airport is over. The service is likely to begin during third week of this month. We have forward a request for inauguration to the central government. The event is likely to take place on 16th or 20th of this month.
Metro rail service in this route is set to begin on 20th, Saturday. Minister of Urban Development of India, Venkaiah Naidu took part in the event too.
