Prices of medicines for Cancer, AIDS, and heart diseases down

There is a continuous increase of the patients suffering fro, cancer and heart diseases in India. AIDS is also prevalent. However, the prices of medicines for these illnesses are quite high. This puts the economically backward and poor section of the people to great difficulties.
In this scenario, the prices of the medicines for these complaints are being reduced. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) will fix the prices of the medicines.
NPPA has reduced the prices of 24 medicines. The medicines for cancer, heart diseases, and AIDS are included in this list. Some medicines are reduced by 25 percent. The maximum reduction is 35 percent.
The prices of the medicines melphalan (2gram) and melphalan (5 gram) are also reduced.
This price reduction has brought some good relief for the patients.
