Prices of eggs come down after 2 months

Because the fasting season has started in Northern India, the prices of eggs have come down by 20 paisa after 2 months.
 
The National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC), Namakkal Zone, has fixed the wholesale price for different category of eggs here. Eggs produced in the zone that includes Namakkal, Erode, Salem, Karur and other parts of the State are procured by traders based on categories, large egg, medium egg and small egg.
 
The wholesale price of each category varies and farmers are paid accordingly. During the last 2 months, the eggs were sold for Rs 4.35. On Thursday all of a sudden the prices has come down by 20 paise and eggs were sold for Rs 4.15. When asked one of the poultry owners, he said: During the Purattaasi month in Tamil Nadu, the prices of  egg will come down. Similarly, Sawan Somvar Vrats commenced on 3rd in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra States and because of this, the rates have come down. Everyday 1 Crore eggs are being sent from Namakkal Zone to North India. Now, 50 percent has been reduced. Because of this the prices of eggs have come down. The prices have come down in Andhra and Karnataka hence Namakkal Zone has been forced to bring down the prices of eggs.
