7 tier protection at Chennai Airport

Owing to fast approaching Independence Day, 7 tier protection is imposed at Chennai Airport. Until 20th of this month, visitors are not allowed here.
On 15th of August, the Indian Independence Day is to be celebrated across India. Due to threatening of terrorists, the ministry of home affairs has ordered severe protection in all key areas including airport. Hence, necessary precautionary measures are taken at Chennai Airport.
Police officials at airport along with other security forces will keep the airport protected throughout the day. The airport premises will be fully monitored with CCTV cameras. There will be intensive security checks at the airport entrance before letting them in. Furthermore, at airport entrance, all vehicles will be inspected in detail.
A 7 tier protection is imposed within and outside the airport. As a move to ensure maximum safety, visitors are not allowed till 20th of this month. From 3 am yesterday, visitors are not being allowed.
