Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has allotted Rs 645 crore for the development of courts, and other related judicial infrastructure, Law Minister G Senthamilan has said.
He said this at the inauguration of Combined Court Buildings and Judicial Officers Quarters at Poonamallee near here.
Speaking on the occasion, he said to protect a multi-cultural society an independent judiciary plays a vital role and this awareness made the Chief Minister set aside Rs 645 crore for 2011-2012.
The Minister said that to produce quality lawyers in the country a National Law School has been established in Tiruchi.
