Tatkal system to be introduced before Deepavali in Tamil Nadu Express buses

Tatkal reservations system is to be introduced for travel booking in 1500 Tamil Nadu State Transport`s Express bus services before this year`s Deepavali festival.
The senior officials of the State Transport Corporation explained:
For travelling over a distance of 300 km, The state government owned Transport Corporations operate deluxe and air conditioned bus services.
Around 1500 buses operate especially to places like Trichy, Madurai, Nellai, Nagerkoil. Coimbatore, Tirupur, Salem, Bangalore, Kumbakonam, and Nagapattinam.
4 seats will be reserved as quota for Tatkal reservation system in each of the above-mentioned 1500 buses.
Just as practiced in the Railway system, the passenger can go to the Tatkal reservation 24 hours before the planned journey. The persons booking through Tatkal system will have to show their Identity cards such as Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Driver Licence, IDs approved by the state and central governments, school.college ID cards, passbook of a nationalised bank.
Once the ticket is booked in Tatkal system, SMS will be received by the passenger.
The rates for Tatkal booking will be announced shortly.
A new App is introduced for The facility to do Tatkal booking through smartphones.
It is planned to introduce Tatkal reservation facility before this Deepavali festival.
