The last date for applying online for Group-4 written test is 8th September

So far, 6.60 Lakh candidates have applied online for writing the Group-4 written test conducted by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission).The last date for applying online is 8th September.

TNPSC had recently released the announcement for recruitment of 5451 various posts including Junior Assistants, Stenographers/typists Grade-3), Tax Collector, and Land Surveyor in the departments of the Tamil Nadu state government.

The online application started on 9th August.

Though the minimum academic qualification was given as a pass in the 10th Standard, even graduates and postgraduates have applied in large numbers.

As per the status at 3.30 PM on yesterday (Wednesday, 31st August), TNPSC Examination Regulation Officer V. Shobhana informed that 6.60 Lakh candidates have applied online.

The last for applying online is 8th September.

As 8 more days are available, it is expected that around 11 Lakh 
candidates will apply. It is worth noting here that during the corresponding period last year, 12 Lakh candidates had applied.

The fee for writing Group-4 written test is fixed as Rs. 75/-. For permanent registration, Rs. 50/- has to be paid. As for the fees for the written test, candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently abled are exempted from paying the fee. Candidates who are graduates belonging to BC, BC (Muslim), MBC, TNC need not pay the written test fee for the first 3 times.

If the above candidates had written the test for 3 times, then they must pay the fee for writing for the 4th time. TNPSC officials have strictly warned that if the candidates write the written test for the 4th time without paying the fees, they have to strict legal action.

So, the candidates are advised to check the number of time they have already applied for the written test.The written test is scheduled on 6th November.
