Chennai Metro Rail: Services between Little Mount-Airport to be started next month

The budget session commenced in the Tamil Nadu legislative Assembly on 26th July.
The state finance minister, O. Panneerselam, presented the budget session in the assembly.
The discussions on the budget continued up to 29th August. The discussion is continuing on the fund requirement of various state government departments from 1st August till 2nd September.
Today (Saturday, 3rd September) is the last day of this session of the Legislative Assembly. The funds/subsidies proposed by the Public Works Department (PWD) was taken up.
While responding to a question raised by the MLA of the Pallavaram Constituency Karunanidhi, Mr. Panneerselvam informed that the Metro Rail Services for the public between the section Little Mount – Airport will be started next month. The underground section of the Metro Rail project will commence services for the public by the end of the next year.
