On 4th of October, during a hardware event, Google is set to unveil its brand new Pixel Smartphones called Pixel and Pixel XL.
Google had decided to drop its Nexus branding and give it a new name as Pixel. Android Authority reports state that these two HTC built smartphones called Marlin and Sailfish will henceforth be called Pixel and Pixel XL.
In addition, the reports hinted that Google’s 4K Chromecast will also be renamed as Chromecast Plus or the Chromecast Ultra where content streaming will be done in 4K.
There are rumors stating that Marlin will have a 5.5 inch display and the pixel resolution will be 1440 x 2560. It will get powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset supported by Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 13MP camera in the rear and 8MP front camera. It is powered by 3450mAh battery and functions on Android 7.0 Nougat. Internal storage is 32 GB and 4 GB of RAM.
Coming on to Sailfish, the display is of 5.2 inch display, resolution of 1080p and 440 ppi. It is powered by 64 bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor. The battery is of 2770 mAh. It has USB Type-C port.
