T.K. Rajendran gets appointed as DGP, Intelligence

T. K. Rajendran, the Chennai Commissioner of Police is appointed as Director General of Police, law and order.
Mr. Ashok Kumar had been working as the DGP, law and order in Tamil Nadu. As his office term has got completed, he got relieved from the job. Following this, there have been speculations about who will be his successor, acquiring the position.
Now, the Chennai Police Commissioner T.K. Rajendran is now appointed as the Director General of Police (Intelligence) and is given with additional charges as DGP, law and order. Orders for this appointment were announced by Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohan.
Following this, T. K. Rajendran will henceforth also function as additional DGP. Due to this, a vacancy was created in Police Commissioner Position. Hence, L. George is appointed in this position yet again.
