Second phase of medical counselling from 21st September

The first phase of counselling to join MBBS and BDS courses were held from 20th June to 25th June. Candidates selected 2853 seats from Tamil Nadu’s 20 government medical colleges, 2 ESI medical colleges and 6 self financing medical colleges. Candidates also selected 85 seats from the Government Dental Colleges. Classes for them began on 1st August.
The second phase counselling will commence on 21st at Tamil Nadu Government Multi-Super-Specialty Hospital and will come to an end on 23rd. Now, there are 9 seats vacant in the government medical colleges because the candidates who chose the seats in the first phase of counseling did not join. Similarly there are 12 BDS seats in Government Dental Colleges and 122 MBBS seats in the self financing colleges.
The second phase counselling will take place to fill up these seats as well as 970 BDS seats of self financing colleges. Moreover the All India Medical Counsel has given permission to two new medical self financing colleges. The seats available from this college will also come under counseling.
