Sikkim has topped the list of ten ideal places for women employment. Tamil Nadu has acquired ninth position. The capital city, New Delhi has not got any mentioning in the list.
The CSIS (Centre for Strategic and International Studies) had conducted a research to identify ten ideal cities for women to get employed. Sikkim stands first in the list with 40 points and the least points is received by Delhi with 8.5. This research is conducted based on a number of factors including legal restrictions, office work hours, restrictions in IT sector and others, incidents taking place against women at workplace, total number of working women, etc.

Of these, in states including Sikkim, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, as per court orders, there is no restriction with night working women.
In nine states and union territories, in no sector will women be allowed to work in night shifts. It is to be noted that India is lagging far behind in terms of women employment. Here, just 24 percent of opportunities are shared to women.
