59 percent part of India liable to the risk of earthquakes

The Seismology Centre has warned that around 59 percent of India’s land area is liable to be affected by medium or mild earthquakes.
An App designed map pertaining to earthquakes was chartered on behalf of the National Disaster Management Authority.
This map is set to be activated in mobile phones in another 3 months. By using this App, the mobile user can ascertain whether their residence or office is liable to be affected by earthquakes.
An analysis conducted by using this App established that India’s 59 percent land area is liable to be affected by earthquakes.
The analysis reveals that around 30.4 Crore people living in different parts of the country are liable to be affected by earthquakes.
