Amazons estimate: festive season to fetch a business of Rs. 25000 Crores in India

The festive season has commenced with a succession of festivals in the coming months.The leading e-trader, Amazon, has estimated that the Indian customers would be spending a whopping Rs. 25000 Crores.

Amazon notes that this expected Rs. 25000 Crore purchases by the Indian buyers would be up by 35 percent as compared to the previous year.It is notable that last years, the festive season buying spree was wroth Rs. 20000 Crores.

The festive season is here with the beginning of Navarathri festival commenced on 2nd October.The survey, conducted by Amazon, reveals that the business this year would be unprecedented high on the e-trading domain.

The survey was conducted in 10 major cities across India. Around 2500 people, of the age group 25-40, working in various fields, were questioned in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow.

The General Secretary of ASSOCHAM Mr. T. S. Rawat informed that there would be hectic trading activities in the e-commerce companies during this festive season. ASSOCHAM expect the buyers to spend 25 percent more than the previous year`s trade of Rs. 20000 Crores.

The survey reports that around 60 percent of the festive season buyers are ready with the list of items to be bought. Generally, the buyers seem to prefer order things online as compared to waiting and buying in the shops.

E-tail companies offer cosmetic items, jewels, cell phones, and laptop computers with great discounts and the buyers are ready to buy them.The buyers prefer to buy online because of the features and advantages such as simple and easy procedure to order items, delivery facility, different methods of payment, and excellent concessional offers.

It is worth noting that the festive season, which has commenced with Navarathri. This would be followed by Dussehra, Deepavali, Christmas, New Year, and Pongal festivals.
