The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts regular examinations for recruitments of various cadres in central government departments.
Presently, the UPSC has announced the new written test, Engineering Services Exam-2017.
It has been announced that about 440 vacant posts would be filled up through this written examination.
Age Limit: The candidates should be in the age group 21-30 as on 1st January 2017. In other words, the candidates must have born between 2nd January 1987 and 1st January 1996. Age limit concession will be applicable for special categories as per the government rules and regulations.
Academic Qualifications: Candidates with Degrees in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics and Telecommunications). The candidates must have the good physical fitness to carry out the tasks of the specific departments. Details can be seen on the website.
Fees: No application fees for women candidates, differently-abed candidates and SC/ST Group. Others have to pay an application fee of Rs. 200/-.

The last date for applying online is 26th October 2016.
