Prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Department informed that there are prospects of rains in a few places in the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The official from the meteorological centre explained:
It has been hotter in the last few days in Tamil Nadu. A maximum temperature of 39 Degrees Celsius has been recorded in Palayamkottai, Vellore and Tiruthani on Sunday, 9th October.
There are prospects of rain in a few places due to thermal convection in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Chennai will be somewhat cloudy. There may be rains or rains with thunder in a few places, The maximum temperature may be 36 Degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature may be 27 Degrees Celsius.
