Prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu today

The southwest monsoon rain season has intensified in Kerala. As a cyclonic format has developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over Kerala and the adjacent Lakhdiv islands since the last 3 days, there has been widespread good rain in several places in Tamil Nadu.
The Meteorological center has informed that due to the cyclonic format mentioned above, there are prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu today (Saturday, 15th October).
The meteorological center officials explained:
The cyclonic format formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere over Kerala and the adjacent Lakhdiv islands has stabilized in that area. Hence, there may be rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in Tamil Nadu.
Chennai will remain cloudy. There are prospects of rain in a few places in the city.
