Deadline for getting LPG subsidy comes to an end on 30th November

Oil companies have warned that the deadline for getting LPG subsidy comes to an end on 30th November.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (BPC) in the state have stopped LPG subsidy to its consumers who have not submitted their Aadhar card by July. However these subsidies are being remitted in a separate bank accounts.

Now November 30 is the last date for linking Aadhar card with gas connections. Those who have submitted the Aadhar card by this date will get the LPG subsidy from the month of July. Apart from this, the LPG subsidy will continue forever.

Government currently gives 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg each at subsidized rates per household in a year. The subsidy on every cylinder is transferred in advance directly into bank accounts of individuals, who then buy the cooking fuel at market rates.
