Six lane flyover at Vandalur

In order to ease the traffic congestion at Vandalur, a 700m long, six lane flyover is being built at an estimated Rs 55 crore for the first time in Tamil Nadu. Chennai-Trichy highway (NH 45) is supposed to be main link road connecting all the important southern cities. Thousands of vehicles ply on this highway road.
However, there is at least one accident takes place between Vandalur and Chengalpet section. More than 30 have been killed in accidents. Since there accidents, traffic comes to halt.
There is great difficulty for people to cross the roads because of the traffic especially at Perungalathur , Vandalur and Guduvancheri .In order to resolve this problem Tamil Nadu Chief Minister announced in the assembly that a six lane flyover will built at an estimated cost of Rs 55 Crores. Now the work is going on in top gear.
