Justice Singaravelan committee recommends derecognition of 6 schools Chennai

The Tamil Nadu Private Schools Fee Determination Committee has recommended derecognition of six city schools for allegedly demanding fee higher than the stipulated amount.
The names include Gill Adarsh, Anna Adarsh, Holy Family, Doctor Alagappa. Parents protested against this order and said it will affect the future of the students.
The Singaravelan Committee has also asked the School Management to reply and is seeking ways to collect excess fee and redistribute them to affected parents.
"I have recommended the Matriculation school Board Director to derecognise six schools for demanding more fees than that stipulated," Justice S R Singaravelu, Chairman, Private Schools Fee Determination Committee told reporters here today.
