Low depression which was lay centered in the Bay of Bengal has moved away to another direction. Hence there could be rains in the next 24 hours in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
Northeast monsoon rains commenced on 30th October after a delay of 10 days.
Director of ACWC, Regional Metrological Department, S Balachandran in Chennai said: The depression has started moving away from coastal Tamil Nadu and the rainfall will progressively reduce in the next three days in the State. The sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places in the city. Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places in the southern districts. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperature will be 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
